- secondary appearances (dots, lines, paragraphs etc)
- influences which affect handwriting (age, health etc)
- the t weakly crossed - weak will / cowardice
- large lines of the pen - imagination
- upward lines - ardour

- the margination
- direction & spacing of the lines
- spacing of the letters and the words
- the height of the letters
- clearness & legibility of the writing
- joining of the letters between each other
a page without margins indicates avarice
equal margin on both sides indicates order & harmony
margin on one side denotes economy
a wide margin - generosity
a decreasing one - economy & extravagance
it is preferred to put faith in the appearance, wether clean or dirty. spots, blotches, corner turned down - not very flattering signs. looking at the end of the letter instead of beginning shows more knowledge of the writer as more care is generally put into the end.
the direction of the lines is much studied by the graphologist;
clean and regular - sane judgement
irregular - imagination predominating
very close - avarice
very wide - liberality
- a horizontal, rigid straight writing indicates will power & inflexibility.
- the same, without too much rigidity, indicates uptightness & perseverance.
- writing sloping upwards - ambition
- sloping upwards but sloppy - vanity, stupid.
- writing sloping downwards is a sign of melancholy and pessismism.
